Station 4 is located on Springdale Rd. just south of Kresson Rd. It houses three pieces of equip; Ladder 44 is a 2002 Pierce Dash 100 ft. Conventional Ladder, Salvage 66, formerly a working pumper that has now been devoted to salvage operations and lighting, and a Public Safety Trailer or “Smoke House” which is utilized for demonstrations on fire safety throughout the year.
Ladder 44 provides first due truck company operations for the east side of the township as well as Basic Life Support functions and calls for service in its primary local area. Aside from truck company functions, Ladder 44 has the capability to extinguish small fires by using its onboard pump, hoses and 300gal. water tank. The dual versatility allows us to provide functions of an engine company and truck company with one piece of apparatus.
Station 4 is fully staffed with three platoons twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Each platoon is staffed by one Lieutenant/Captain and four Firefighters. All personnel possess their EMT-B certification, which allows the company to initiate or aid in Life Support Functions for the community.
